Data deletion

You can ask for your data to be deleted from Postato at any time, through one of the paths below.

1. Delete the workspace or your account in the panel

In Settings, the workspace owner can delete it. It disappears from the panel right away, its connected accounts are disconnected and the data is deleted for good after 30 days. Each person can also delete their own account: name, e-mail and photo are deleted right away, and workspaces where they were the only member are deleted with it.

Only disconnecting the Instagram account makes Postato stop accessing it, but does not delete what was already read. To delete it, delete the workspace or use one of the paths below.

Without a plan, the data is deleted too: when the trial ends without a plan, or the plan is cancelled, the panel is read-only for 30 days, we warn by e-mail 7 days and 1 day before, and then the workspace's data is deleted.

2. Remove the app on Instagram

In your Instagram settings, remove the Postato app from the list of apps connected to your account. Meta sends us a deletion request, and the data of that Instagram account is deleted as soon as the request is processed. You get a code to track the request.

3. Ask by e-mail

Write to privacidade@postato.com.br asking for deletion. Tell us the username of the Instagram account or the e-mail you use to sign in to Postato, so we can find your data.

This path also works for people who do not use Postato: if you commented on or sent a message to an account that uses Postato and want your data deleted, write to the same address with your username and the account you talked to.

What is deleted

We delete the data described in the Privacy Policy: comments, messages, posts and metrics, people and what is known about them, drafts, promises and automations. What the law requires us to keep stays for the legal period. Daily backups of the database are kept for up to 30 days in Cloudflare storage (R2), and deleted data leaves them within that period.
