Moderation and hidden comments
Postato reads each comment and tells which type it is: question, request, compliment, criticism, partnership, abuse, bullying, spam and others. For each type, you choose what happens.
What you can choose per type
- Reply
- the comment goes to Needs you.
- Emoji
- it goes to Needs you, with one of your emojis already in the reply field. Nothing goes out on its own.
- Hide
- it goes to Moderation and is hidden on Instagram.
- Ignore
- it leaves the queues and goes to Done.
To start, Postato suggests an action for each type from what you already did. Without history, abuse, bullying and spam start as hide.
Nothing is hidden on Instagram before you confirm the rule. Until it is confirmed, abuse and spam go to Moderation, still visible.
Where to change it
In Settings, Comment types. Only Owners and Admins change the rules; Members can see them.
See and show again
Everything hidden stays in Moderation, in the Inbox. Open the comment and tap Show: it appears on Instagram again. If the type is wrong, correct it on the comment itself; the correction applies only to that comment.
Hide by hand
In a comment's "⋯" menu, Hide comment hides just that one. Direct messages cannot be hidden: it is an Instagram rule.
