About

What Postato is

Postato is an execution layer for publishing on social networks. It exposes a REST API and an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server so that AI agents, applications, and traditional systems can publish content on the networks you have connected, without having to deal with the particularities of each API.

How it works

You are the publisher. Postato is the courier. When you connect a social network via OAuth, Postato gains the ability to act on your behalf through that network's official API. Your credentials (login and password) stay with you. The OAuth tokens stay with Postato, encrypted, and are only used to perform exactly what you, your applications, or your agents ask.

Principles

  • Official APIs only. Postato uses only the official APIs of supported social networks. No scraping, no reverse-engineered APIs, no shortcuts that break tomorrow.
  • No content generation. Postato does not generate, edit, or suggest content. You and your agents write it. Postato delivers it.
  • Idempotency by design. Retries on failure do not duplicate posts. You send an Idempotency-Key, Postato handles the rest.

Who builds it

Postato is built by Luciano Souza, from Brazil.

Luciano has been writing code professionally since 1998. Along the way he worked at Microsoft, Volkswagen, Youse, and XP Investimentos, saw digital product being born in many shapes, at many sizes, under many cultures, and somewhere between one meeting and the next he decided it was time to build his own. Postato is the result of that decision, taken with the patience of someone who has seen too much and the impatience of someone who just wants to send the post and get on with life.

Where we are

Postato is in early access. The supported networks, the plans, and what is open to new users are kept up to date on the Pricing page and on the home page. The current focus is delivery reliability and ergonomics for AI agents.
